ICT and Business Consultant with over 35 years experience.

Originally a British Telecom trained engineer I left to start an audio design and repair company. Within a short period of time I was asked to support recently introduced microcomputers from Apple, Sharp and IBM.

As the business grew I started a dedicated computer company with a programmer friend, we specialised in the installation, programming and maintenance of computers and computer peripherals, usually for one off development projects. Due to our specialised skills, expertise and willingness to have a go our business became involved with the development of microcomputer based telemetry and control system initially for the mining industry and then for the emergency services.

Emigrated to New Zealand where I supported computer equipment for the print and design industry and a few local educational establishments.

Whilst I was living and working in New Zealand I was recruited by a Brisbane based company that were involved with a part Government Funded development project to develop a command and control system and communications system for the emergency services. We moved to Australia so I could head this project. At the end of this contract I worked for a Facilities Management Company as ICT/Projects Manager before accepting a position with a local airport as the ICT Manager over the new terminal development.

Unfortunately ill health took me out of action for nearly two years. After regaining my health I have been a self-employed Business and IT Consultant. I pride myself in offering solutions that meet end user requirements, are within budget and usually offer a degree of future-proofing.

I am now semi retired but continue my work with Self Contained Breathing Apparatus Telemetry.
